Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Ask Ozi, operated by Ask Ozi ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the chat service, you agree to these Terms. Ask Ozi is presently an early-stage product operated as Ask Ozi; a formal legal entity will be named here once incorporation is complete.

1. The service

Ask Ozi lets businesses ("Owners") upload product documentation and configure an AI chat agent that their customers ("Customers") can use to get support. Owners are responsible for the accuracy and legality of the content they upload and the configuration they set.

2. AI-generated responses

Chat responses are generated by third-party AI models based on the documentation an Owner has uploaded. AI-generated answers may be incomplete, outdated, or incorrect. Ask Ozi is not a substitute for professional, safety, or manufacturer guidance — Owners and Customers should not rely on it for safety-critical decisions (e.g. electrical, mechanical, or medical procedures) without independent verification.

3. Accounts

Owners must provide accurate account information and are responsible for safeguarding their login credentials and for all activity under their account. Customer accounts (optional, via email magic link) are subject to the same principle.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Ask Ozi to:

  • Upload content you don't have the right to use, or that is illegal, defamatory, or infringing.
  • Attempt to disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the service.
  • Use the chat agent to generate content unrelated to legitimate product support (e.g. abuse, harassment, or attempts to extract system prompts or other users' data).

5. Subscriptions and billing

Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis through Stripe. Session and product limits for each plan are described on our pricing page. You may cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the current billing period. Usage beyond a plan's included quota may be billed as overage per the plan terms shown at checkout.

6. Intellectual property

Owners retain all rights to the content they upload. By uploading content, you grant us a license to store, process, and use it solely to operate the service on your behalf (e.g. generating embeddings and chat responses). Ask Ozi and its original branding, software, and design remain our property.

7. Termination

You may stop using Ask Ozi and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or pose a security risk to the service or other users.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

Ask Ozi is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose or accuracy of AI-generated content.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ask Ozi and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the service, including reliance on AI-generated responses.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. (This section will be finalized to name a specific state of incorporation and venue once the operating entity is formed.)

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the product evolves. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
